CSIR UGC NET Exam: Apply before April 10, check important details

The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) has released an official notification for UGC-NET Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) & Lectureship (LS) December 2022/ June 2023.

Candidates, who want to appear in the eligibility test, can apply online at https://csirnet.nta.nic.in.

The last day to apply for the UGC-NET JRF exam is April 10. The correction window will open on April 12 and will close on April 18.

The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted on June 6, 7 and 8, 2023.

Pay Scale

The stipend of a JRF selected through CSIR- National Eligibility Test (NET) will be Rs 31,000 for the first two years. 

In addition, annual contingent grant of Rs 20,000 will be provided to the University / Institution. The Fellowship will be governed by terms and conditions of CSIR, UGC or Research Scheme, as applicable, read the official notification.

Application Fee

  • For General Candidates: Rs 1,100

  • For General-EWS/ OBC-Non Creamy Layer Candidates: Rs 550

  • For SC/ST/ Third Gender Candidates: Rs 275

  • For PWD Candidates: Nil

  • On the homepage, click on the ‘CSIR NET December 2022 – June 2023 Registration’ link

  • Register using the proper credentials

  • Login with the application number

  • Fill in the application form

  • Pay the application fee

  • Click on the submit to finish the application process

  • Download and take printout of the same for further need
